It works great and took me a giant step forward in formatting - all that is part of Smarty. I'd appreciate seeing how to allow a user to enter parameters to control the search parameters. Can't find an example anywhere. The problem for me is how to pass the variable to the plugin SQL statement.

Hi- I'm very interested in the sql plugin. Is there a way to select a single database field with sql, WITHOUT having the results formatted in a table?

I see it's easy to select a field, and get its contents formatted IN a table. However, I'd like to query just the contents of a single field, in order to use the text results as part of a URL.

when i use the plugin i get blank pages! and i have the database well, and the admin dsn configurated too? some1 can tell me why i dont have the results of a select comand?

Have you set the permissions for DNS this? Go into Admin > Groups > DNS and set permission refer to the last paragraph on this page http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=AdminDSN

The pluggins are awesome for pulling data out. What about inserting data into a table? I have tried creating new sqlpluggins for this but it is beyond my skill.

Is this possible?

I would like to know how is it formed thw DSN string in the case of an Oracle database in another host than the Tiki host.

I tried to include the column `users_users`.`lastLogin` in the example I reported in the page (all users of a group in a single table, with extra columns with other info). But I got raw data (numbers like: 1087981741). How can this number be formatted to a readable date and time format?.

If you are using MySQL as the backend you can use the FROM_UNIXTIME() function as follows:

FROM_UNIXTIME(`users_users`.`lastLogin`)

for more details on date and time functions.

I am not sure what functions are available on other DBs.
