After-FOSDEM TikiFest 2016

Jan Bambach -

FOSDEM may be over, but this doesn't stop the attendees among our community from being productive. If anything, because of the TikiFest that followed immediately, the opposite was the case; two days of hacking led to a huge amount of items to be struck off the to-do list.

Tiki at FOSDEM 2016

Jan Bambach -

570 speakers, 609 lectures, 619 events more than 5000 hackers and two days - that's the best way to sum up what the annual event for Free and Open Source developers was like this year. Read more about our presence to find out how we reached out to the community.

Tiki Community Presents Free Webinars

Rick -

Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware will present a series of free webinars starting Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 21:00:00 UTC (find your timezone) using BigBlueButton (http://bigbluebutton.org). These webinars will allow the Tiki Community to introduce new features in current and upcoming releases of Tiki. Additionally, Tiki Developers will be able to show off their latest work and Tiki admins can give a virtual tour of their own sites.

The seminars are free for anyone with an interest in Tiki, wikis, and content management systems (CMS). Participants attending the seminars will use the Tiki + BigBlueButton integration. This integration features full audio and visual communication, chatting, desktop sharing, and much more... and requires only a browser! The seminars also allow the Tiki Community to "dogfood" these features!

The first webinar, on January 19, will feature a demonstration of Tiki Draw and Tiki Docs, a developer-led discussion of several upcoming features, and include plenty of open time for community discussion.

All Tiki Community members are encouraged to attend as well as present their own work. For details, see http://tiki.org/Webinars and the Tiki Community calendar: http://info.tiki.org/Calendar.
