XML Problem with IE6 and TikiWiki 1.9

First off, apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I am having great difficulties reading TikiWiki.org at the moment.

When visiting TikiWiki.org using IE6, the home page frequently refuses to display. Instead I receive the following message:

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

----------------------------

Use of default namespace declaration attribute in DTD not supported. Error processing resource 'http://tikiwiki.org/forum4'. Line 5, Position 7

html

After a bit of investigation it seems that I'm not receiving a complete page's worth of HTML/XML (see attached file). The IE6 XML parser, quite rightly, throws an error as there is no closing /HTML tag (amongst others).

Is anyone else having this problem? It's really frustrating, especially as I'm trying to persuade work colleagues that TikiWiki is the way forward.

Using Opera (v7.54) seemed to fix the problem, but, unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to persuade the whole world to change from using IE.

This is the only site where I have this problem, so I can't see it being a problem with the browser as such, and seeing as the issue is intermittent (more off than on), I'd say it's probably not a code bug.
Maybe it's the host?

Yes, I had that error turn up when a user created a forum posting from a wiki page. I turned off the link between and wiki and linked forum in admin. Hopefully it won't show up again.

Yes, wiki needs to be stable in IE since most of the world seems to use it.

Yes - This error is common. For instance it shows up when I try to display a forum user profile. Earlier the entire tikiwiki clogged up because of some modules - old search:
tiki-searchresults.php?words=testsearch&where=pages and "whats_related". Still the search yelds an error but now it is:

Warning: mysql error: Can't find FULLTEXT index matching the column list in query:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM tiki_blog_posts p LEFT JOIN tiki_blogs b ON b.blogId = p.blogId WHERE b.use_find = "y" AND MATCH(p.data) AGAINST ('testsearch')
in public_html/lib/tikidblib.php on line 125
Values:

$result is false
$result is empty

But about the original error - Isn't it possible to use an output smarty-filter to manage this in some way. Unfortunately, although I am very good at JavaScript an HTML, I don't no anything about XML and XSL, so I can't give a more precise solution or say that this will work. That is just a feeling I have.

Am I right?

Which mysql release do you have? I think that full text search is after MySQL 3.23.23

You can avoid to see the php error message by changing the level in admin -> general -> no php error reporting

If you have an error in a php script , IE will often displays the XML message and hide the error ... So try to not display php error - but check your php log to know if you have problem
(In 1.10 I set up an automatic mail to the admin for each php error)
