Just do it with FTP
1.8.0 contains many security problems, that could leave to a attacker gaining control over the server. see ReleaseProcess181 ReleaseProcess182 ReleaseProcess183 ReleaseProcess184 for a full list of the bugs and new enhancements that have been completed
Running 1.8.0 you will no end of problems.
Installation guides are available from InstallTiki and you'll need to look at the FTP guide. Tiki does not require you to have SSH access. FTP or web based FTP is all thats needed.
