Problems with setting up Tiki

Hi all,

I just uploaded the tiki files onto my ftp dir, the isp is SwizzWeb. I executed the setup.sh with the known uid and gid, worked fine. Unfortunatly i get this message while pointing the browser to tiki-install.php.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster at online.ch and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache/2.0.50 (Fedora).

The Error Log gives me that info:
Wed Apr 13 12:22:35 2005 error client 193.xxx.xxx.xxx Premature end of script headers: php-script
Wed Apr 13 12:22:36 2005 error client 193.xxx.xxx.xxx File does not exist: /home/virtual/site28/fst/var/www/html/favicon.ico

What does this actually mean? You may also watch the phpinfo on my server: http://www.cre-world.com/phpinfo.php

Please give me some advice.

Thanks a lot

Hi,

I got the same error and would be interested to find the solution here. Could you please give me a short description?

Thank you in advance

Please provide some information about your hoster, shared, virtual...??

It means that the FTP upload was borked.

The FTP application truncated some of the uploaded files. This is a problem with using FTP. If you have SSH access to the host, then use wget to download the tar.gz or .zip then tar or unzip to extract it, a lot faster and also a lot less prone to file problems.

Hi again,

I think I have a different problem:

I used the tikiwiki-1.9.DR4.tar.bz2 tar for uploading and put it into a subdirectory which I get the privileges with "setup.sh wwwrun www". I read at different places (GOOGLE helps confused) that it could be a problem of access rights. But I'm not sure which directories/files need more rights. I include a short overview of phpinfo, do you need more or other info?

Thank you for your very fast response and best regards

Harald
