    Im guessing you have configured some mail-in features within the Tiki. 1.8.5 uses a VERY buggy pop3 library, which has been replaced in 1.9 branch. You should upgrade and report problems. The 1.8.5 version of POP3 is not being maintained because its GPL code and should never have been included in TikiWiki which is LGPL licensed.
