    Hi everyone,

    I'm a newbie and I have limited knowldege on server configuration. I have successfully installed Tikiwiki with Apache+PHP/MySQL on my laptop running WindowsXP. All tutorials I could find online state that this type of installation is for testing purpose only. Why? Now I have assigned the laptop a fixed IP address and I can access tiki from remote. I don't see anything wrong with it. Is it a potential security risk? Or stability issue?

    Ideally you would want proper hosting on a Linux system for security setup. Depends on the apache/php/mysql package you used on windows it can be very slow when there is circa 10+ users there. Also XP is a giant hole anyway twisted
