Re: Re: Need help with fatal error
Xavi,
Thanks for the reply and the welcome. Well I (wrongly) assumed that the mispelled "bannder" must be in a .tpl file, so I downloaded all the .tpl files from the web server onto my PC and searched them using a desktop search tool called "X1". If you've never heard of it I highly recommend - it's free and can be downloaded from www.x1.com. Anyway (apparently because that is stored in the database), none of the template files had that word in them. But in searching through them I did find one that had the following statement:
{if $feature_sitead eq 'y' && ($sitead_publish eq 'y' or $tiki_p_admin eq 'y')}{eval var=$sitead}{/if}
{* optional ads (banners) *}
{/if}
That file was called tiki-site_header.tpl
So I figured that if I just renamed this file to something else so that tiki couldn't find it, the code that caused the fatal error wouldn't get executed. Maybe I'd get a non-fatal error that would at least allow me to log in as admin, go to the Site Identity Admin panel and fix my misspelling. That worked - the formating on the page wasn't perfect, but at least I could go in and fix it, and then rename tiki-site_header.tpl back and everything is now good.
Hope that helps someone else who makes that same dumb mistake.
Rick
