Quicktags show in wiki edit, but nowhere else.

I have two tikiwikis going. Both are separate installs. The quicktags show for wiki edits, but not for forums. I could have sworn I had it working once, but something seems to have changed. I can toggle smileys on and off, but can't find anything about quicktags. This happens for both IE and Firefox. Yes, I have emptied the cache.

Thanks for the help.

When you say that you've emptied the cache, do you mean the browser cache or the tiki cache? In either case, empty the one that you didn't empty before, just to be completely sure.

The only other possibility I can think of is that you've somehow deleted the quicktags for all features except wikis. Currently, you have to specify the quicktags used for each feature individually.

Do quicktags show up for forums under quicktag admin? (You can use the drop-down filter to quickly see if there are quicktags defined for forums).

Other than that, if you have modified template files while customizing your site, you may have inadvertently changed something to cause quicktags to not be displayed.

I've not experienced this issue.

I've checked under quicktag admin and there are six pages of settings. Forums, etc. are all there. I haven't done anything with templates. The only thing I've done recently is upgrade to 2.1. They're just not showing up.

I've also looked to make sure the image files are there. Also, when enabling the WSIWYG editor, I get the tab in the wiki pages, but not in forums or articles.

The label "Quicktags" that is supposed to show up under the label "Smileys" in the normal editor, just isn't there. But I know the quicktags are defined for those features. I just don't understand what this is. Could it be some sort of a path setting somewhere?

Anyone? There must be a simple answer to this problem.

I'm using 2.1, with tikineat and the normal editor. The tags are defined - I've never messed with them. This is an issue on two separate installs. I also see it on a third install using 2.0, so it doesn't appear to be related to the version.

What database version you using (MySQL)?

I've not encountered this issue, so it's not a bug, something else is wrong.
