FTP-Install: Browser just wants to download "tiki-installer.php". What can I do?

Hi everbody,

I've just followed the FTP-Install Guide to step 5. But as I head to ../installer/tiki-installer.php the browser just wants to download the file. rolleyes

What can I do to initiate installation?

check to see if .php files are associated with the application that you are using as your web browser, i run into this quite a bit when certain file types are set to be opened with notepad or dreamweaver or what have you on client's machines.

Thanx for your advice, bkey.

I followed it by associating .php from Firefox to editor (WinXP's notepad). What changed now was that FF still downloaded the tiki-install.php but opened it after downloading by editor.

Any further going ideas?

AFAICT, this is not a Tiki issue.

Your setup is not interpreting .php files as it should.

If you create a blank index.php with any bogus text in it, what happens?
