Well... I've already readen this page and anotehr but there's nothin about 3.0 --> 3.1 or... not found this mentioned!

My upgrade from 2.2 to 3.0 was a such success for me that I thought I was able to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 without doc (I found nothing about this upgrade after half an hour of search).

It was a bad idea...

After upload of the new version, I launch the install script, I hit the button (Lock file was deleted) and then.. nothing... white page. And every page name I could try shew me a white page...

I could downgrade recopying the old files I had backuped (good idea!) and I Had to readapt my musql database but everything was ok.

Now, I would like to know how I could install the 3.1 version over my 3.0 ???

hello, i did it exactly like it was explained... and it works fine. first back up the actual version 3.0 and the mySQL database, then i copied all new files over the backup. second i changed the name of the actual 3.0 directory in something like "tikiwiki_old". after this I renamed the backup directory with all the new files to the real name "tikiwiki" and deleted the lock file. now I startet the tiki-install.php and i updated the database. everything is going fine but the tikiwiki is now in english. greetz from france

Well... that's what I've done and I got a white page just after the first click in the install script. I'll try again this WE. Thanx for your help.

Plesae, help us to upgrade the documentation. If you could create a new page at doc.tw.o for that, it would be awesome!

xmal, remember to clean your caches (just in case) from your tiki just after the upgrade. You can manually do so by ssh or ftp through deleting the files under:
./temp/cache/
./templates_c/
