    Hello,

    greate software:)
    yesterday i tried to install the latest cvs version.
    Can somebody give me a tip on how to install
    complete manual? I come to the point to write
    the database access data in the webformular
    and thats it.

    Hi modules,

    The documentation for 1.8 is underway at http://doc.tikiwiki.org

    The basic manual installation procedure summed up consists of:

    Extract tarball
    Create MySQL database and MySQL user with permissions
    run ./setup.sh from tiki root or chmod 777 the special folders found when you surf tiki-install.php
    create a db/local.php, docs for the format should be on doc.tw.o and certainly here on tw.o
    run mysql and insert the contents of tiki.sql, unless at this point you can run tiki-install.php
