Solution Needed: Auto Poll Removal Based on Results

Hello All,

I have a strange one today. I need to find a way to either augment a poll, or ALL polls in the system to do the following:

In a poll called 'Like it, Hate it' 30 users have posted that they like the movie 'King Kong' which is the Wiki into which the poll was placed.

When the user base reports that 31 users have reported that they don't like it, the admin who posted the poll wants it to 'disappear' from the user's sight.

Qeury: How can either...

  • A: The Poll system be modified to remove/hide all polls whose second option outweighs the first?

OR

  • B: Individual Polls be modified to be removed/hidden when their second option outweighs the first. (i.e. 49-51% or 51 votes to 52 votes)

As to the inevitable curiosity of WHY a user would want this, it's intended as a fragment of a sort of 'game' the admins want to play with each other. We want to see who can keep the most polls in existence at once.

Petty, but part of a larger developmental concept we want desperately to move forward on.

Hi twilightphe0nix and welcome to Tikiwiki community! smile

I'd suggest that you contact a developer to code that for you.
See http://info.tikiwiki.org/Consultants

(and I'm listed there but I'm not a php coder)

I posted HERE, because I want feed back from THE developers.

I am aware of the simplicity of creating what I want. But I'm equally knowledgeable that I lack the understanding of the base code to make it happen.

This is nothing more than a syntax added to either of the above named sections.

And the people who created this system seem oddly vacant from the feedback process.

It took 5 days to get a response that stated, "Look for your answer somewhere else."

Developers are expensive. Where is the feedback from the Creators?
