Project management

Hi all,

I try to program some project management module in tiki. I tried to 'adapt' the method for making logic links of the way one can make overview of a tiki site using graphviz. For some reason, it doesn't work properly, i.e. if a 'node' receives two links, it cannot be used to show other links, but instead a node with number 0 is added. I added all the code I have so far... (the files should be placed in the appropriate directories, i.e. the two library-files in lib/project/, the main php-file in the tikiwiki root and template file in templates/) Check my own UserPageKurtSys

Anyone any idea what the problem is here?

tnx,
Kurt

Hi Kurt!

Project management? Woah, I am looking forward to this feature.

Can you work with us in CVS? UserPageKurtSys comes out pretty weird. Otherwise, yes, you can attach files in wiki pages.

If you need/want to put code in a wiki page, you can use the PluginCode or the np/pp codes in WikiSyntax

Thanks!!

M ;-)

Yeah, I noticed the my user page looked odd, but I haven't a connection at home yet, so most of the time, I'm rather time-limited when I'm online. Now, I see that it depends on the browser whether my user page looks odd or not... and I just saw that someone already included the CODE-tags. Thank you, whoever it was smile.

Back to my problem... the problem seemed to be that I didn't use 'VARCHAR'-type but I used INT-type (ID's instead of names) in my MySQL-database. So, using INT gave strange results, using VARCHAR (and filenames instead of ID's) solved the problem. So it works...
Oh yeah, don't expect too much... It's basic project management stuff, but it's something that I can't find easily for a unix/linux environment for free. I'm planning already for a long time programming such thing. I 'discovered' tiki and the very nice graphviz-feature, and it's very easy to make some graphs this way. Anyway, I'm working on it.

And euh, this may be a stupid question: What do you mean with 'working in CSV'? I can send the version I have by now (although I would wait a few weeks first, untill it is a little more finished. My idea was to finish some basic stuff first, which can than possibly be included in 'my tiki'. I really would like to join the development team to a certain extend. As I mentioned before, I'm somewhat time limited when I'm online, well, I'm also time limited when I'm offline smile.

greetz,
Kurt.
