Articles Broken

I was trying out the Articles feature on my Tiki (1.7.3), and have now rendered them inoperable. Help!

I created my first Article as an ordinary user, and then edited it as Admin. Ever since then, I get the following error when I attempt to go into Articles:

Warning: MYSQL error: DB Error: unknown error in query:

select * from tiki_articles where(publishDate=1074792799 and type='Event') order by publishDate desc limit 0,10

in /home/philosop/www/www/tiki/lib/tikilib.php on line 101

Does anyone have any idea how to fix the problem?
(I've read elsewhere that this bug has been fixed on 1.8, but I'm not sure if this will help me: will upgrading to 1.8RC3 fix the Database problem that I now have?).

Hi!

First I would upgrade to 1.7.4 to see if that fixes it. We also have 1.7.5 due out very soon.

1.8 final should be around soon, but due to some major changes in database abstraction it might not be as stable as the 1.7 family.

If you try the 1.7.4 upgrade and let me know. I might be able to get a fix in for 1.7.5 smile with your help.

Dear Damian

Thanks for the advice. I upgraded to 1.7.4. This did the trick, after I repaired the tiki_articles table, which had somehow got corrupted by the bug.
