Unable to sort tracker entries from column heading

posts: 10

If I try to sort the entries in a tracker by clicking on a column, I get an error page wiith something linke

Values:
Array ( 0 => 1 1 => o )
$result is false
$result is empty

and my Apacke log gets the following error message

PHP Warning: mysql error: Unknown column '' in 'order clause'
in query:select * from `tiki_tracker_items` where `trackerId`=? and `status`=?
order by `` desc in /home/atbe/pkgs/src/tikiwiki/tikiwiki-040119/lib/tikidblib.php
on line 125, referer: http://dartslab.jpl.nasa.gov/internal/tiki/tiki-view_tracker.php?t
rackerId=1

I believe the problem is that the custom column names within the tracker are not getting passed through properly to the MySQL query.

I am using tiki from CVS current as of Jan 19.

Hi

As Trackers are being worked on at the moment. Using the CVS code things will get broke from time to time. its the developers playground. For a stable site use the 1.7.5 or the test release of 1.8 due out any time soon.

This is Tiki v1.8.4 -Polaris- © 2002–2004 by the Tiki community Tue 31 of Aug, 2004 15:48 // debug

This version of tikiwiki still has this bug. Has anyone found a workaround? or knows how to patch it?

The URL being generated for sorting the page has sort_mode=_desc for each column title's link EXCEPT lastModif. It appears that either the template or tiki-view_tracker.php is not generating the link properly.

At my Tiki 1.8.4 site the bug still shows up, but at my Tiki 1.9rc2 site, I can sort Tracker items by clicking on the column headings, so it seems the bug has been squashed in the latest release.

There is a Patch for this bug in OpenSourceForge, howeverdifficult to stick on the code, thoughat least for a complete unix-lynux-php ignorant like myself. If you try to use the patches, you better get yourself a line-counting text editor (there is a quite useful one for Mac named uEdit in Tucows), because you'll need to delete/add line by line according to the (-/+) signs at the start of each line, and orienting yourself by the linenumbers indicated by the @ symbol. To copy the corrected archives from/to the proper directories, you'll need superuser privileges. These are the archives you need to correct.
~/tikiwiki/lib/trackers/trackerlib.php
~/tikiwiki/templates/tiki-view_tracker_item.tpl
~/tikiwiki/templates/tiki-view_tracker.tpl
Hope it works. It did for me.
