SVG edit and mod for showing svg files in a wiki page

Help needed! Tiki 8.3

I really need some more guidance about creating an SVG image and how to get that image to show on a page....

I'm importing an image and then adding shapes with links in the hopes of creating something similar to an image mapper.... I've managed to save a file but the shapes were really hard to click on and sometimes didn't work at all or were no longer in the same place as where they were created (in other words the link was way above where it was in the edit feature).

I'm having a world of trouble using it and the documentation isn't enough (happy to add to it if I can work out how to get it show a svg image in a wiki page.) I notice that the examples in the documentation don't appear to work well either, so I'm wondering if its bugged?

One thing I have noticed is that my SVG edit program does not look like google's - its missing the big pencil icon. Is this normal? Makes it really hard to save, open and edit svg files...

I've installed the mod which should allow svg files to show in my wiki pages. But where do I find the link information to the SVG file in the File Gallery? I can download the SVG file but I can't seem to link to it so that it ends with .SVG as the mod requires. Am I better off creating this file in google and then ftping to my images directory? Will that work?
