Architecture / Installation

Hi,
everytime i click the install button at the end of the installation process (after defining database and user)
I am promted with a log in window.
When i log in i am at the beginning of the installation process (language selection) and then i selectd next there I am promted with an log in window again.
So i cant complete the installation process.
Tiki wiki is running on Debian 6.0.5.

Also i cant view the installer page with any other browser than the internet explorer.

Could these two problems be related to each other ?
I am fairly novice at using linux so pls excuse me if any information is missing.
