File-attachments to wiki-pages - problem :-(

Hello

I have user-groups and categories in my Tiki-installation. For one of the categories I would like to have the following behaviour for wiki pages:

  1. Pages in this category belong to user group 2. They can add pages to this category and do everything with pages in this category
  2. User group 1 is able to read these pages. But the group is not able to edit pages in this categorie. This also works as expected
  3. Now user group 1 should be able to add attachements to wiki pages of this category, but they should still not be able to edit these pages!

To do this I gave user group 1 the following rights in the affected category:

  • tiki_p_wiki_admin_attachments
  • tiki_p_wiki_attach_files
  • tiki_p_wiki_view_attachments

The problem is now that this does not work sad! Only when adding the right tiki_p_edit the possibility to upload files appears. Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to only allow attachements but not allow editing of the page?

Hi Andi:

Maybe the old way to use attachments requires this edit page perm. But you can use the new system for attachments, which uses standard file galleries to keep the attachments per page there (one gallery create per wiki page, all of them under a common parent file gallery for attachments)

See it in "Admin home > File Galleries > Use file galleries for wiki attachments"

And in Tiki12, you will have the option to enable this feature right from the Admin Wizard ( https://doc.tiki.org/Admin+wizard ).

Cheers

Hi Xavi

thanks for your quick answer. Unfortunately I can not find this setting.

"Admin home > File Galleries" is ok. But there is no setting "Use file galleries for wiki attachments".

Greetings, Andi
