    • Where to get 1.8.3?

    Folks, where can I get 1.8.3? It's not listed on the main SF page. I know, I know: CVS. But I'm on Windows and I'm using WinCVS but it's docs are so lame that I haven't been able to figure out how to use it (I'm one of those who actually reads the docs!). And embarassingly enough, it eludes me when I go to the CVS page on SF.

    Also I would be interested in getting the latest 1.9 tarball. I can' remember how I got it the last time.

    The CVS tarballs are hosted by ohertel, I think there are links from the TikiServersNetwork page. but I dont know about their reliability

    The only place you can get 1.8.3 is in CVS as its not been released yet. The CVS checkout commands are:

    to get 1.8 via SSH access (only available to those listed on the project

    Copy to clipboard
    export CVS_RSH=ssh
export CVSROOT=:ext:sfusername@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/tikiwiki
cvs -z5 co -d tiki18 -r BRANCH-1-8 tikiwiki


    or via pserver (available to everyone)

    Copy to clipboard
    export CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/tikiwiki
cvs login
(press enter on the password prompt)
cvs -z5 co -d tiki18 -r BRANCH-1-8 tikiwiki


    to get 1.9 leave out the -r BRANCH-1-8

    Enjoy.

    1.8 is stable, and we like bugreports from it.
    1.9 is highly unstable, please dont come shouting about it being broken smile
