Using the Picture Plugin in WYSIWYG Editor

posts: 11 United States

Hello,
I am trying to use the picture plugin in the WYSIWYG editor but am having some trouble. I can upload pictures to the website but when I try to put a picture on a wiki page I am getting this:

img fieId="3" thumb="box"}

in wiki syntax (first bracket omitted on purpose). When I change the editor to Wiki Editor then the image will load but it completely destroys the formatting in the rest of the page. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Evan

This sounds odd, i'm sure it works for me - which version of Tiki are you using?

Have you thought about filing a bug report on File a bug? Then you can create a "show" tiki to recreate your issue which sometimes solves the problem in itself, and if not gives us devs a clean example of the problem so we might fix it.

By the way, i presume your example says field instead of fileId due to some autocorrect thing?

Thanks for the question, hope we can get it sorted out for you!

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, you are right on my screen it says "field" and not "fileld". I believe I'm using version 21.x. I'm thinking that this is not a bug but rather has something to do with me putting the WYSIWYG editor in HTML mode, and the picture plugin being in Wiki Syntax (which wouldn't work in HTML mode). I believe this because the plugin works in the Wiki-syntax WYSIWYG editor but not the more user-friendly HTML. Do you have any suggestions/ideas?

That is correct, you cannot use wiki syntax in HTML mode, then you'll get what you are describing, when using plugins via wiki syntax, you must be in syntax editor mode.
