wiki links produce error

I have just started using Tikiwiki v1.8.2., when adding a link to a wiki with the example syntax I get an error for each link:

Warning: Empty delimiter in /lib/tikilib.php on line 4171

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Thanks
Dan

Hi dan,

can you give us an example of the link you are using enclosed in ~np~ tags?

Yes

= Romans

or the standard template

Both produce the same error, but the page displays and works correctly.

When trying to save the page after editing I get further messages:

''Warning: Empty delimiter in /tiki/lib/tikilib.php on line 4171

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /tiki/lib/tikilib.php:4171) in /tiki/tiki-editpage.php on line 644''

Thanks
Dan.

Could this be a setup problem? - I am running on a virtual host - permissions?

I get a similar error:
Warning: strstr(): Empty delimiter. in
/public_html/lib/tikilib.php on line 4084

The installation is via fantastico..

Can anyone advice me on how it can be fixed?

Thanks!

I would say there is a severe roblem in the fantastico installation that makes it not so fantastic! lol

Try a FTP install yourself and see if you get similar errors. Link to various installation guides are found from the InstallTiki page.

Hummm.. I'll try to install myself.. However, I'd imagine many people will try tikiwiki via fantastico, wouldn't it be better for the project if they will not be easily disappointed?

You have a good point but Fantasticos installation script was not created by the TikiWiki community.

I found the problem - the server name for absolute URLs wasn't specified in Admin - General.

Dan.

Now you mention that, Im not sure when in 1.8.x family the Default profile sets the server name to be in18. Ive changed in the cvs so 1.8.3 should behave better.
