LDAP Authentication does not work

We have successfully installed tiki 1.8.3 on a machine that is running red hat advanced server 3.0. We are unable to get the LDAP authentication to work. We followed the instructions at the following link: http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_faq.php?faqId=10#q74

When we login using an account in ldap that has never logged into tiki we receive an invalid password or username error. Our LDAP is running on Active Directory. Can someone share an example of their tiki setup with AD that works?

On another note, where does tiki keep the login log? We have not been able to find a log that contains the failed login attempts. This is our first time using tiki so any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no log.

There are many details on LDAP on the tiki-devel mailing list, you might want to search through the archives available at SourceForge.net/projects/tikiwiki

Thank you for your response Damian. I have done quite a bit of searching and have not found anything that is helpful. Do you know if anyone has ever gotten AD Ldap and tiki to work together on 1.8.3? We are thinking of downgrading tiki to try to get ldap to work.

A developer that goes by the name of vulgrin I think uses Active Directory with his TikiWiki I remember I read his "story" on the tiki-devel mailing list at SourceForge. Was a good handful of months ago now.
