Search engine problems

Sorry to bother you.
It seems that my Tiki does not get indexed by search engines.
I have tried 'pointing' them in the right direction by listing new Tiki pages on an HTML page, but even the Google sitesearch only gets that far. It seems only to list the page title, nothing beyond that.
I imagine I am doing something really stupid, so please don't be embarrassed to tell me what I am doing wrong.
Thanks!
John

It depends on Google. Most dynamic content where urls are given with a ?xyz=sssss fail badly. You'll need to work on some optimisation and possibily some custom template links link ive done on the nav bar at http://www.damosoft.co.uk

There is also a project on http://mods.tikiwiki.org called SEFURLs (search engine friendly urls) that might help too.

also search this site for wiki pages with rewriterule in the name.

You'll need access to Apache config file or working .htaccess to do this.

OK Thanks!

That has made me feel somewhat more stupid, as the whole thing is substantially meaningless to me, but it is now meaningless and confused, so some progress!

Anyone like to tell me how much they would charge to make this thing a little more search-tastic?

I await the stampede.

Thank you anyway.
John
