changing font color in left column

posts: 68

Hi,

I managed to change the background color of the left column by editing the #leftcolumn in the css file. But, however much I tried, I could not change the font colors of both the text and the links on the left column. I want the color to be #F1F1C9 - both the text as well as the links - mostly in modules as that's what is there in the left column. Please help me with this.

I'm using v1.8.3 if that helps!

Thank you.

Hi,

You need to enter some coding to do this. The new damian.css in 1.9 allows modules to have different colours and style by providing some override methods in the modules templates

You will need to create two new CSS elements for left column and right column modules. Then modify the module.tpl to discover if the module is left or right and send the correct CSS tag to the renderer.

An alternative is to remove all font elements from the module CSS styles and drop them into leftcolumn and rightcolumn instead. Depends on how much customisation your looking for.

Thank you Damian. That sounds tough for me - I don't know much coding...let me see.

Depends on your style. But for example, if you are using moreneat.css (I bet it is working with other style) at the bottom of moreneast.css, the line can do the trick I think

  1. leftcolumn .box-title, #leftcolumn .box-data {color: #F1F1C9 }
