You can use them through a module

1) first create a user menu
admin -> modules -> create user module,-> use poll
2) add your user module in the assigned modules (left or right columns)
admin-> modules -> assigned modules-> your_module ....
Don't forgot to pick the 2 choice for an immediate visibility
3) or use the module in a wiki page with the module plugin
