Community Replacement

Since the Community stuff is now inactive, how about a new forum where we can post the url of our own Tikis for the community to see and review and invite comments? I (for one) would be very interested to see how every one else has customized their Tiki. Sort of a "how did they do that" forum.

Just an idea....

The "Directory" was de-activated, because the global listing of all Tiki sites was being used to find vulnertable out of date Tiki's which had not been upgraded. They basically still had the security holes.

There are still sites in that situation, so I personally would prefer to not have such a listing at the moment.

I understand, but if maybe we tell folks not to list their site unless they've upgraded to 1.8.5? Besides, anyone could simply Google to find thousands of potentital security problems.

The TikiSitesBestOf only lists a handful of sites.

Again, just my $.02.

The problem is what happens when a serious security issue appears in 1.9.x ? By using a directory or something you instantly give a hacker all the details of 5000+ Tiki sites. Yes they can google, nothing we can do to stop them there.

I would however prefer rather than a link to a site, is that people try and continue the HDTDI Series of pages: HDTDI-index I tried to get going some time ago, giving more information on how the site was created, how templates were modified etc etc

The "How did they do it" series is exactly what I was looking for. Why is burried so deep at tw.o?

I'll add my stuff there. In the meantime, I personnally invite any/all folks to checkout my site and offer comments, critiques, and advice.
