One other comment is that once you've got the WYSIWYG editor working, you'll also need to sync the CSS for the editor with that of the wiki or the formatting you get will not match.
I've had some struggles with the FCKEditor and Java on Firefox. Surprisingly it worked fine on IE... Go figure...
