FCKEditor in tiki-editpage.tpl-

posts: 63

I'd like to use a WYSIWYG editor in my wiki pages and have read the posts about FCKeditor and TinyMCE. I found this snippet of code in tiki-editpage.tpl (v 1.53.2.24):

{if $wysiwyg}
sBasePath = 'lib/fckeditor/';
var oFCKeditor = new FCKeditor( 'edit' ) ;
oFCKeditor.BasePath = sBasePath ;
oFCKeditor.ReplaceTextarea() ;
{/if}

Does this mean that if I install FCKedit into my wiki, it will be called here? How do I set the $wysiwyg value?

Its quite dangerous to use the FCKEditor as it stores the format in HTML. People with access to save in HTML would have all the tools available to create a XSS or other form of attack and eventually gain admin control of your TikiWiki.

My advice is to learn wiki syntax, it is just as powerful and much more secure.
