Re: Page not found error code - for use verifying ownership for Google
Are you using a custom 404 page in your htaccess? I had this same problem. To let Goolge verify your site:
- Temporarily rename your htaccess file.
- Reverify your site with Google.
- Retore your htaccess file.
I had to do the same thing, took about 5 minutes.
