Overtime newsletter development

Hello All,

I'm putting this under the catagory of "suggestion" unless I'm missing something really obvious that already exists. I like the newsletter feature, it looks like a good way to keep ones site in the forefront of peoples thoughts. My problem is that I rarely put a newsletter together all at once. It would be a nice feature if newsletters could be developed over time by saving a partial then being able to retrieve it and edit it over and over until it's complete and then send it. Even only being able to have only one newsletter saved at a time would be helpful, though the ability to have several in work at a time would be best.

One other thought is that the availability of templates in the newletter creation space would be useful since a newsletter is usually formatted the same every time.

You're looking for Content Templates. See the docs for details.

Thanks for the reply Rick. That was my oversight. I've been using the content templates for the Wiki portions of other sites I have up and had the permissions in the site I had in mind screwed up. Your validation of the content templates being available for newsletters had me go at the solution with a bit more conviction.

Now, having solved the secondary note, I don't suppose there is a solution fo rthe primary question of saving in-work newsletters aside until they are sent as final draft other than creating in a text editor and then pasting them in when completed. wink
