Survey Stats

Hi

Is there any way I can retrieve the results of my survey as individual answers (i.e. each time the survey is completed and the 'send' button is pressed - retrieve the individual complete form), rather than only as the collated results?

Be very grateful for a response on this.

Hi Penny, and welcome to Tikiwiki community!

It's not possible in 1.9.x branch, but it is indeed in the improved Tiki 1.10. You can do that if you use trackers for your surveys, since there is a new radio button field, watch trackers, watch trackers permission, export csv answers, and many more improvements in trackers.

Survey feature is a easy to setup feature, but limited funcionalities, but trackers are much more versatile and powerful, and can be used to create your own survey system, etc. (we've done so in a tiki site for production using 1.10cvs). If not in a hurry, wait for 1.10 to be released as stable. If in a hurry, get the latest 1.10cvs version and "good luck" (http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Download ; if you are not good at coding and bug fixing, you'd need a coder to help you with that... as we did, paying - in our case - that person to fix the annoying bugs in the features we were intertested in)

Hope this helps...

Xavi: But can the tracker be configured to allow users to take the survey only once? That is a key feature that I really like about suveys.

Hi Rick:

You are totally right. Not coded yet (afaik). But it should... (we are using them for production, and there seems to be no much problem, since the user id is logged together with tracker item submission... (no student submits item twice as fake; at the most, to update this/her survey answers, and teacher has to delete the old item insertion...).

It would be needed also for tests (quizzes), since they are not improved (as feature) in tiki 1.10, but trackers are supposed to be used instead... (and miniquiz plugin also, afaik)

Hi Xavi

Yes, very helpful thanks. I'll have to run with the survey for now, and it's limitations. Then, for next time review the trackers and see if they will be feasible.

Thanks again.
