TikiProject

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know whether TikiProject is still alive? Couldn't find it in the 1.9.7 release, but read about it in this link http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=TikiProjectDev. Very intrested in it.
Thanks!

The guy who proposed that left Tikiwiki development and I don't think anything else was done with that specific idea. But something to look into would be AulaWiki, now called Workspaces and which is being added to Tiki as a standard feature (in 1.10?). This looks exciting and apparently can be used for project management as well as other applications.

Thanks for the quick response!
Checked the AulaWiki website. It certainly looks interesting. Look forward to having it in the Tiki package.
But I need something now to have some basic project management functions. Any idea on a workaround in the current Tiki 1.9.7? I'm new to Tiki and would appreciate any insight you may have.

I think Trackers might work. At the Tiki dev site, you can see how trackers are used for bugs and feature requests. The form fields are very flexible, so probably could be used nicely for project details.

HI JJ, and welcome to Tikiwiki community! :-)

TikiProject was developed by that guy Gary said, with the help of others, afaik, but at the end, it was finished by that guy and he was only selling the code, not contributed for free to tikiwiki community, unluckily... :-/

On the other hand, Workspaces for project management can be used within any 1.9.x version of Tikiwiki for production (or 1.10), through installing AulaWiki Mod! :-)

It's being used for production in some sites, such as

See the English documentation (made using Workspaces on 1.9.x :-) at:

Hope this helps... :-)

Xavi, Thank you for the information on "TikiProject". That explains it!
Very good information on AulaWiki. I actually stumbled on it yesterday and downloaded the mod. However, I'm stuck with an Webmail (cannot send) issue. I'll post a new topic on that.

Thanks again for taking the time putting together the detailed information on AulaWiki, which could be a good introduction package for new comers.
