Smileys and Quicktags not working in local install

Hi,

I just got my local tikiwiki install up 2 days ago.
The ease of installation was really amazing. biggrin

Surely, I won't need all the features, since I intend to start of using it as a personal knowledge DB.
Once I am more comfortable, I might open it up to the web.

The problem I am facing is that the Smileys and Quicktags aren't working in my local install.
It's not a browser problem, since it works here on your side.

What I've noticed is, the following:
On my install, the javascript code is: javascript:inserAt('editwiki',cry');
That's independent of the page I am working on, e.g. be it "UserPagexyz"

Likewise, the quicktags toggle doesn't work.

Did I miss something in the config?

System Info:
1) running on Win Vista
2) EasyPHP 1.7
3) TikiWiki 1.9.7

Cheers
Eric

Did you edit your header.tpl via the template editor?

If so, you may have stripped some javascript....

Hi Marc,

No, I didn't touch the OS level at all.
Well, apparently the first "extraction" of the tw zip-file didn't run properly.
I've just extracted the zip again into the web server www-dir and viola... am back on track.

Thanks heaps for the quick help.

Cheers
Eric

question:
I upgraded to the version v 1.9.10.1, quicktags toggle no longer works, figured I would reload the header.tpl in case I nosed around with the editor to much, but still the quicktags toggle will not work. As much as I would like to remember all the tags and how to enter them, my memory is just not that great. What other files have java script in them that might prevent the use of quicktags so I can try reloading those files as well.
