Re: Re: How to "Clean" TikiWiki Database

Gary, you are becoming my new favorite person in the whole world :-) I really do appreciate your work here and in the themes section.....

Ok, you gave me some encouragement I might not have an ugly mysql issue.....I am thinking now I have some overlapping permission issues all of a sudden....this seemed to work fine in the beginning, but now does not seem to work properly.....

Basically, I want all registered users to be able to post a comment, edit, view history, etc. on all wikis.....what I am seeing is that unless I set specific permissions for a wiki page, even the Wiki creator might not have the edit tab.....now we are also using categories....it appears that if I dont categorize something I get the desired behavior, but if I do categorize something it doesnt show the proper permissions........

Can you give me some tips to straighten this out? why cant I make it so that all registered users can see Add Comment on every Wiki page? why would assigning something to a category effect this? Any ideas? Thanks once again for your guidance....

> The problems might or might not be due to things wrong with the database. As far as I know, if the database itself needs repairing, you get error messages saying so. I think the repair tools only handle structure problems with the database/tables, and probably aren't aware of factors beyond those.
