Unable to view categorized pages

I am able to browse the categories and see the pages categorized under each category but if I try to view any of those pages an error is raised - "permission denied you cannot view this page".

None of the categories have any permissions set to them so global permissions apply.

The Anonymous group has four permissions - tiki_p_view, tiki_p_view_categories, tiki_p_view_categorized & tiki_p_wiki_view_attachments.

As an Anonymous user I am unable to view any categorized page despite them being listed under a category in the browser. I am only able to view uncategorized pages.

None of the pages have any permissions set on them. Permissions are only set on the Groups.

I cleared the cache. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

You might also need to grant the specific permissions for features (tiki_p_wiki_view , tiki_p_edit, etc. or whatever names they have, take the previous perm names only as orientative). Did you do so already?

It's also advisable to provide the url, if possible, so that others can have a look on what else might be wrong (the settings about category permissions seems to be right, according to what you said)

and by the way, wikiNovice, welcome to Tikiwiki Community! smile

Thanks. I'm glad to be part of it.

I disabled all the features to leave me with just a basic wiki - no comments, etc. Unfortunately categorized pages are still denied. If I categorize a page it becomes inaccessible. If I un-categorize the same page I can view it.

I think I might try a re-install.

The re-install didn't help. I can browse the categories, see pages categorized under each category but can't view the actual pages - denied access.

The only way I can get round it is to either give the group the tiki_p_admin_categories permission or to give the group tiki_p_view permission on the specific pages. Neither of these are acceptable. I don't want Anonymous users administering the categories and setting permissions on every page isn't going to work either.

As I said this is with a re-install (deleted the previous) so I hoped that the default settings would work.

Its now working biggrin I can now list all pages irrespective of whether they are categorized or not and can view categorized pages.

Clearing the cache did the trick. I went to Admin > Tiki Cache/Sys Admin and then emptied all four caches listed.
