TikiWiki Add Event Calendar Permissions

Hello - I am doing some volunteer work for our local library (I use to work there), and I am having a strange issue on Calendars. We just recently upgraded to Tikiwiki 3.1, and it didnt resolve the issue.

For some reason we cannot restrict logged in users from the calendars. Anonymous users do not get the Add Event icon on the calendar, but any authenticated users do.

On the specific calendar in question, we have changed the permissions specifically on the object so that registered users only get view permissions, and not events. But, sure enough, when they look at the calendar there is the Add Event icon and it allows them to add the event.

If i dont even give registered users the ability to view the calendar, sure enough they cannot view previous items added to the calendar, but the add event icon is still there and they can add an event.

So, for some reason we can restrict the add event for anonymous, but any registered users gets these permissions.

Any opinions? Is this the same behavior you have on your tikiwiki installations? I know this has worked in the past, but somewhere along the line ours is fouled up....

Any help much appreciated.
