Without JavaScript?

How usable is Tiki with lynx or any browser with no javascript
or frames or CSS?

I need to cater for people with disabilities and very
slow/expensive Internet connections.
First impression of Tiki is that it may not be the tool for
my purposes, but so far I cannot confirm or disconfirm by
reading the documentation and searching the site.

So far a lot of it seems to work OK with lynx, but it is
not clear how much or whether this will always be the goal.
Possibly I simply failed to locate the relevant info about
my concerns, in which case a pointer would be appreciated.

It doesn't seem possible to make the left/right columns optional.
Most of the pages entail downloading about 10% content and 90%
repeated menus etc, which is very helpful for average users but
expensive and excruciatingly boring to listen to slowly through
a speech machine over and over :-) If there's a way around
that I'd love to find out.

What is the intended minumum technical requirement for users of Tiki?
Has anyone actually tried catering for these types of users?

Hi!

Have a glance at WebAccessibilityInitiativeDev maybe you could join the team and guide us!

Basically you can design a custom theme to eliminate the left and right column totally, and navigate through a menu similar to tw.o's top bar

All templates are seperate from the PHP code using the Smarty Template engine. so this isnt as bad as it sounds.

If you want more info or guideance on theme designs, please post back!
