    Hi,

    I have just upgraded from 2.2 to 5.1. All went well. However it seems I have encountered a problem previously identified. All links to images in the wiki pages generated during wiki upload have been broken and therefore the images are not displayed.

    At the same time within the text there are some odd characters, but this has been sorted by following the upgrade suggests
    “To resolve this problem, edit your ../db/local.php file by commenting out the $client_charset line as follows:
    Commenting out the client_charset
    // $client_charset='latin1';

    Regards the broken image links; I have found a couple of posts which raise the issue of broken image link during upgrade, and there appears to be some comments around .htaccess and _htaccess and deleting and reinstalling.

    However I have to say, too much script rewriting and I need my bicycle clips or my hand held, as I have no idea what I am doing.

    So could someone assist and take me through, stepwise, what is meant by this htaccess stuff, as I feel this will resolve the problem

    Please, unless you know very well what you are doing, you are suggested to convert all your db, tables and concent to utf-8 to avoid the detected and known issues when issues different charsets (problem fixable by tiki since Tiki 5.1)

    Read and follow (once, after you made a backup of your current db, of course) the steps described here:
