Hmm... if your custom plugin works for some groups but not others, than I'm 99% it is a permissions issue.
Note that there were many changes between Tiki6 and Tiki7, including a upgrades to the plugin parser. Please review the release notes for details. Did you upgrade your plugin for Tiki 7? Please see the docs for details.
To enable the error reporting, use the Logging and Reporting options. See the docs for details.
