Hi Simon,

If you have deleted the database and run tiki-install.php again, entered your database connection details and clicked the create new profile button, then the default logon would be admin/admin.

If however you have just removed the source untard and only entered the database connection details, then the old password for admin would still be around.

Ok, heres the details for giving admin an email address and also enabling the remind by email password feature biggrin

In the users_users table edit the admin record and complete the email address field.
In tiki_preferences table search for forgotPass and set to y

You may also need to set the sender_email address depending on how your mailserver is setup.

Let me know how you get on with those

After a tragic office rebuild (looks great, now what happened to ALL OF OUR PAPERS?!) I find myself without the password to my Wiki.

I've done the "In the users_users table edit the admin record and complete the email address field." step. 'admin', yup. Put in my email address (it was blank), yup.

However at "In tiki_preferences table search for forgotPass and set to y" I run into a problem, there is no "forgotPass". I've got:

Table tiki_preferences in database tiki
Field nameType Allow nulls? Key
name varchar(40) No Primary
value varchar(250) Yes None

I've tried skipping the 2nd step and just requesting an email to the new address but nothing show up. Any ideas?

Nevermind! Found it it the users_users table, plugged it in, and good to go! Thanks for the old help, led me to the answer.
