can't make URI links in bibliography work [solved]

I have installed necessary bibliography / references plugins etc according to the documentation and I am able to add references with no problem.

But: While I properly (I think!) insert the link in the URI tab, when I save the reference and the page and whatever, I may see the references there in the bottom, but it is not hyperlinked, just plain text.

What do I do wrong?

Hi,

Can you post the syntax and Tiki version you are using?
Thanks,
lindon

Certainly - but as a new user allow me to describe in a few words what I do.

(please read my post below, as I re-submitted my question)

I use 11.0

Sorry, not that familiar with these plugins so it would be helpful to know more precisely the syntax you are using. Can you replicate at demo.tiki.org? Select version 10x.
Thanks,
lindon

I will try to bump this topic, as I have not figured out a solution so far.

My two problems:
(a - and more important) the links (that I have added in the biblio reference) appear correctly in the footnote area (if I add ~uri~ at the template of course) but they appear in text and not in clickable hyperlink. The format I used when creating the reference was http://www.cnn.com (example).

(b - and less important) how do I make the two horizontal lines over and below the footnote area listing disappear? (or one of them dissappear?)

So I figured out the answer. In the URI field of the biblio reference (at edit/properties) user should use the proper html tag to make link clickable. All these days I thought that this would have been already done in the code, well, it has been not.

So, instead of http://cnn.com, one has to use the a href etc. tag.
