Failure to create Tables when Installing new Tiki 1.8

I have MySQL 4.1 running on FreeBSD with Apache 2.0.47. When I try to install via the tiki-install.php page, it installs every table except any table with the "hash" column. Hash is a keyword until MySQL 4.1, apparently. Is there any way around this? How do others install Tikiwiki databases onto a MySQL 4.1 server?

I have another question as well. I wanted to do this as a test, to see if I could export my databases from my MySQL 3.23 server and import them to the newer 4.1 server. Obviously that fails, once again due to the "hash" keyword/illegal column name error.

Does anyone have an idea what to do? Or is Tikiwiki simply incompatible with this version of MySQL?

Hi

I would double check that on the tiki-install.php you have it set to the MySQL 4 option. Thats all I can say, I've only got Red Hat based systems here with MySQL 3 on confused

Yup, checked that by starting over (reseting db connections). It's set for MySQL 4. There is no option for 4.1 specifically, though...

I think TikiWiki is incompatible yet. nobody with CVS access worked on this AFAIK.

As a last resort, you could modify the table-creating code to use back-ticks around the work `hash`. That tells MySQL not to confuse it with a reserved word. I have some tables with fields that involve reserved words that require this. Using this option when you write out a .sql file would also allow you to import and export correctly.
