1.8.2 has many changes to many files. No matter which method you choose it will take a while!
We also havenew files in each directory to prevent directory listings and all lib files have been modified to prevent Path Disclosure problems.
Not to mension other areas
1.8.3 shouldnt be as bad as 1.8.2 ;) I was also thinking of just releasing a changed files tar.
