This option not only should work, but this is used often by a lot of people and I wonder why there is no more reports. Version 16.1 is out dated, I strongly suggest you to update to Tiki18 our last LTS.
If you have the same issue, I suggest you go at : http://dev.tiki.org/Make-a-wish create a ticket and a instance (to test on a clean version) and report your issue with as much as details as possible.
