Using article as a template

It looks like this feature coud do the trick, but I've noticed a strange behavior when I use the template in a new article:
- Create a new article
- Switch to the "advanced" tab
- Select the template
- Tiki indicates that all changes will be lost and I have to accept the dialog box to go on.
- Tiki displays the html code of the template as if it was the previous content, although this is a new article!
I've tried to tick/untick the "HTML" but still get the same behavior. Is it a known bug?
