User Ratings
Hi. I am new (sorry...hope that isn't too annoying). I want to use tiki for a best practices repository where practices (code, patterns, templates) are posted, enhanced, and then rated by our community until they die or they are blessed as "best".
I found a page http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=UserPagexenfasa that has a proposed addition to tiki:
''Allow the comments associated with Articles to rate the Articles.
This would allow all types of articles (Games, Services, Products, etc) to be rated and ranked based on the rating in a user comment.
This rataing feature is partially done. When activated you can rate an article. This rating/number is stored in the comment table with the associated comment.
An average still needs to be taken of these ratings and inserted in a new field in the article table everytime a new comment is added up updated.
With the average rating assigned to the article, a ranked list can then be displayed.''
This sounds great, but my questions are:
1. Did these enhancements happen or are they happening?
2. Will comments on regular tiki pages (not just Articles) have this feature as well? The problem I am running into I think is that you can't put attachments onto Articles (is that right?) and I need attachments so I think I need to use regular (non-Article) pages.
Thanks so much!
Carol
