First installation and configuration. | Creating menues etc..

Hello.

I hope that Tiki-Wiki is the right software for my website.
Previously I wanted to install Wordpress plus Forum plus Wiki.
So I installed WP and MyBB and searched for a wiki.
I noticed that Tiki-Wiki is around 21 times larger than e.g. Dokuwiki.
290MB vs. ~ 13.5MB.

Many of the options are not self-explanatory either.
I simply activated everything in the basic setting that didn't seem harmful to me.

Is there no profile that pre-activates all functions that I can choose?

I am currently experimenting with menus and the logo, but I should probably only do that after a clean installation.

Menus are difficult to set up.
I want a horizontal menu as "upper bar" (under the logo).
But I just want a narrow bar with the words (Home | Forum | Blogs | Wiki etc ..) in it. No frame, no title etc.

And the logo ... Difficult.
I set a title and subtitle in the installation.
These can no longer be changed. If I leave the field for title and subtitle empty, titles and subtitles appear. But if I want to do without titles and subtitles because I want to use a large banner (like on Facebook or YouTube), I have to insert a space.
Why is the title and subtitle not in the settings of the logo module?!? What size is ideal for a title banner?
I tried 1024x175. Unfortunately, it is not in the middle above the horizontal menu below. It sticks out slightly to the right.
For a full-width title banner, I need to move the log-in module to a different location. E.g. to the right of the menu (with Home, Forum, Blogs and links to YouTube, Facebook etc.).

A simple website, also optically not too complex.
My primary colors, signal yellow (f6bd16) and black.

1. A title banner with logo and lettering in yellow / black.
2. A menu such as:
HOME | BLOG | TECHNOLOGY FORUM | FACEBOOK | TWITTER | YOUTUBE | INSTAGRAM | DISCORD | EMAIL | ABOUT US
3. Content area.
4. Optional footer area with RSS links and / or modules.

Important areas:
Pages, forums and wiki.
Furthermore, links to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter etc.

P.S .:
We need good long tutorials that show how to build such a website.
And why is it not possible to delete attachments in this forum?
This erros are no longer a problem (now i use php 7.2, not 7.4).

Wow... a lot to unpack in your post, but I'll try....

Tiki has an "all-in-one" model. See https://tiki.org/Model for details.

Many of the options are not self-explanatory either.

Have you reviewed the doc site? Most options are fully documented.

Is there no profile that pre-activates all functions that I can choose?

A profile with everything on? No. But the Configuration wizard walks you through all options, allowing you to turn on what you want.

See http://doc.tiki.org/menu to create your own menu.

And the logo ... Difficult.

You can use the Module logo to set all options, including titles and subtitles.

What size is ideal for a title banner?

I think it depends on how wide you set your site to be.

We need good long tutorials that show how to build such a website.

No explanations either. It's about what something is.
Explanations for absolutely unknowing people.
Some pages: "Placeholder - content coming soon."

"A profile with everything on? No. But the Configuration wizard walks you through all options, allowing you to turn on what you want."

OK, I activated all options. Took hours. I had to do it for several days. I had to save in between, because otherwise the timer expires.
Because I don't know which function fulfills which option.
So I don't know if I need them either.

"See http://doc.tiki.org/menu to create your own menu."

I had it translated by Google (many parts of the settings are not translated either).
The automatic translation is subordinate in some places.
I read it. I can't find any answers.
E.g. the look of the menu.
I don't want a title or a frame.
The default is a frame and a title within it.
Also on this website here is a slim horizontal menu. With find field at the left end. That is my wish.

"You can use the Module logo to set all options, including titles and subtitles."

I did this. I have a logo of 1024px wide and 175px high. It is shifted to the right.

"I think it depends on how wide you set your site to be."

1024px. The default was "1170". Supposedly 900 (mouseover), and below it as text "800". A lot of different information.
I chose 1024 because there are 1024px screens.
E.g. my Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 MK3.

Oh, I meant video tutorials.
Without seeing it "live", not everyone can understand it.
Especially because it is written in a foreign language.
And prior knowledge is required.

I'm trying to set up forums.
There are no forum categories. Forums and sub-forums only.
I want an outline like this in this forum here.
Categories and forums in it.
The entire documentation area "Forum Management" does not exist.
And there is no way to change the order of the forums and sub-forums.
Someone mentioned the problem in the 2009 forum.
How can you use a forum that does not allow changing the order of the forums?
