Image Gallery images show up broken...

Hi all -

I'm having a problem with Image Gallery. I can upload pictures fine. No errors. However, the thumbnail's and full size images display on the page as broken images. I have tried with 1.7.7 and 1.8.3. Both act the same exact way. I have included "gallery.pdf" as an example.

Images upload and display fine for wiki, but not image gallery. I've also included "php_ini.pdf", "phpinfo.pdf", and "image_gallery.pdf" as examples of my configuration. I have configured Image Gallery to use the DB for storage, but I've tried a directory and that doesn't work either. Although, the query of the DB or looking into the directory shows that the file is getting created, but it's just some sort of hash with no extension... I don't know if that's normal or not.

Anyway... Any ideas? It's not my most crucial feature of the site, but I do need it.

Thanks,
Thomas

Yes... sorry. I forgot the links on the first post. I've since edited my post and there's a link to my phpinfo output. Also... images upload and display just fine in wiki and other spots.

Sorry lynx doesnt know what to do with PDF! So you'll have to check the phpinfo yourself for a GD section. Wiki images are just normal uploads. Image Galleries resize and get details from the image through the GD library.

Hi all -

I got it to work... there was one other gd config option that I added and it started to work. "--enable-gd-native-ttf" and it worked.

Thanks,
Thomas

I seem to be having the same issue although I have the --enable-gd-native-ttf flag set on PHP. I also get the images and thumbnails stored in MySQL as well as to the file system. However when I try and view them they come up as broken. I have even directly used show_image.php and the source html shows no content !

I have checked all file system permissions, moved /tmp etc etc to no avail. Has anyone got any ideas?

Check your PHP version. PHP 4.3.3 and above have built GD support. Lower versions depend on external libraries being installed.

Pat.

Any empty line after ?> will cause the broken link problem in Image Gallery. Check all the called php pages with crimpson editor or any editing tool and remove the empty line.

I spent three days to find out this.
