wiki: page-specific view/edit permissions?

Hi,

I apologize if this had been answered before.

Is it possible to implement page-specific view/edit permissions? For example, is it possible to enable viewing permission to a set of wiki pages to anonymous users, and disable viewing permission to another set of wiki pages to anonymous users? In another word, is there a way to define a group of pages to be public to all users and another group to be private (for viewing) to registered users?

Thanks!

Yep. Pre-1.9, you can assign individual permissions for specific pages (which is a pain in the butt). In 1.9, you can assign permissions for entire categories. That way, you can categorize groups of pages and have them all obey the permissions assigned for the parent category.

See CategoryPermissions for more info. You can also check out this feature in the latest 1.9rc release.

Would it not be an idea to still allow individual page permissions as well as category permissions?
